Quake-damaged cable systems fully repaired: OFTA

Six submarine cable systems damaged by earthquakes off Taiwan on December 26 have now been repaired, the Office of the Telecommunications Authority says.

 

The earthquakes had caused serious damage to the cable systems supporting Hong Kong's external telecoms services, causing disruptions.

 

The cable operators say all external telecoms services - including Internet access - have been fully restored.
