Aviation veteran Stanley Hui has been appointed Airport Authority Chief-Executive Officer from February 1, succeeding Dr David Pang.

Authority Chairman Dr Victor Fung said Mr Hui, 56, has 30 years of aviation experience and a deep knowledge of the Mainland and the region.

"I am confident that under his direction, we will continue to strengthen our leadership position in airport management and aviation-related businesses and contribute to Hong Kong's long-term prosperity."

Mr Hui will be responsible for the airport's overall operation and its related infrastructure. He will ensure the airport conducts its business on prudent commercial principles, runs with maximum efficiency and complies with the strictest safety and security standards.

Mr Hui was CEO of Dragonair, and now serves on the China National Aviation Corporation board of directors.
