Consultation on new telecoms body extended
*

In response to industry requests, the consultation period on the establishment of the Communications Authority will be extended two weeks until June 16, the Commerce, Industry & Technology Bureau says.

The Government launched a three-month consultation in March on the setting up of the authority as a unified regulator for Hong Kong's electronic communications sector.

The consultation document can be downloaded from this website. All comments should be sent to the bureau's Communications & Technology Branch, 2/F Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong by June 16, faxed to 2511 1458 or emailed to kevinchoi@citb.gov.hk.
