The Committee on Review of Public Service Broadcasting has invited nine international experts to share their experiences in public service broadcasting in the International Conference on Public Service Broadcasting held on June 21. Click here to register the forum.
The committee chairman Raymond Wong said the overseas experts will bring to Hong Kong diverse experiences of public service broadcasting, and share their views on status, function, funding, governance, accountability and programming of public broadcasters.
The committee has also invited the Director of Broadcasting to speak at the conference.
Mr Wong added that the overseas experts' opinions would be of great value to the committee as it developed recommendations for the development of public broadcasting development in Hong Kong.
The overseas speakers will include senior executives from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Special Broadcasting Service from Australia; the Association of Public Broadcasting Corporations of Germany; Japan Broadcasting Corporation; the British Broadcasting Corporation and Channel 4; and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and WGBH-TV Boston from USA.
