The Highways Department will invite tenders for ground checks on Tuen Mun Road.

The works mainly comprise checks from Tsuen Wan to Sam Shing Hui. There will be laboratory testing of soil and rock samples and a structural condition survey on the road's highway structures.

The project will start in May for completion in September.

Maunsell Consultants Asia, commissioned by the Highways Department's Major Works Project Management Office, has designed the works and will supervise the construction.

Tender invites will be issued tomorrow.
