Drainage improvement set for South Lantau
*
Lands Department

The Government intends to carry out drainage improvement works in Mui Wo, Lantau Island at the end of 2006, to be completed by end-2009, the Lands Department says.

The works will affect about 4,740 square metres of foreshore and sea-bed at Tai Tei Tong River, Pak Ngan Heung River, Luk Tei Tong River and Luk Tei Tong (2) By-pass Channel.

A notice describing the extent of the area affected is published in the Government Gazette today.

The notice together with a related plan can be seen on notice boards posted near the site. The plan can also be inspected at the Lands Department Survey & Mapping Office, 23rd Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road; Islands District Office, 20th Floor, Harbour Building, 38 Pier Road, Central and Mui Wo Sub-office, Ground Floor, Mui Wo Government Offices, 2 Ngan Kwong Wan Road, Mui Wo, Lantau Island.

If you believe you have an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and sea-bed involved, you may submit a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20th Floor, North Point Government Offices, on or before November 30.
