$120m lighting systems contract awarded

Highways Department

The Highways Department has today signed a $120-million contract with Cavendish Construction Limited for the management, operation, installation and maintenance of the public lighting systems on Hong Kong Island and Lamma Island.

 

Acting Deputy Director of Highways Chow Ying-shun signed the contract on behalf of the Government.

 

This is a four-year contract from October 2005 to September 2009. The works include road lighting, gantry sign lighting, roadside directional sign lighting and the associated network of cables, ducts and peripheral items.
