Lion Rock Tunnel Road to re-open
*
Transport Department

The Transport Department has announced that the slow lane of Lion Rock Tunnel Road near Kak Tin village - closed due to mud flow from the slope above - will re-open at 6am on August 24.

All bus routes will return to normal.

The Geotechnical Engineering Office, Highways and Water Supplies departments have carried out inspections, and identified a natural slope failure above the road about 50 metres uphill.  The Geotechnical Engineering Office has provided advice on the slope works needed to reopen the Kowloon-bound slow lane to traffic by early tomorrow morning.

People can visit the Transport Department's website and look up "Special Traffic News" for up-to-date information, or call 2804 2600 or 1823 for enquiry.
