20 building plans approved in June

Buildings Department

A total of 20 building plans were approved by the Buildings Department in June - five on Hong Kong Island, two in Kowloon and 13 in the New Territories.

 

Of the approved plans, seven were for apartment and apartment/commercial developments, one for commercial development, seven for factory and industrial developments and five for community-services developments.

 

Consent was given for work to start on 16 building projects that, on completion, will provide 855 square metres of usable domestic floor area and 91,267 square metres of usable non-domestic floor area.

 

The department also issued 15 occupation permits - three on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and eight in the New Territories. The usable floor areas for domestic uses was 51,054 metres and for non-domestic uses it was 24,220 square metres.

 

The declared cost of the new buildings completed in June totalled about $1.48 billion.
