HK International Airport is expanding its welcome back campaign with the $1 million Your Privileges, Our Pleasure lucky draw.
The offer is open to all arriving, departing and transiting passengers to help boost tourism.
Launching the draw today, Airport Authority Chief Executive Officer Dr David Pang said the contest is not just an opportunity for travellers to win prizes, it allows the authority to offer thanks for the loyalty shown by the airport's many patrons.
The contest also reflects the authority's optimism that the airport will return to full and normal operations quickly.
Only six weeks since the World Health Organisation lifted its travel advisory against Hong Kong, daily passenger traffic has rebounded to 70% of what it had been before SARS.
All passengers can enter the lucky draw before July 31, without making any purchases. Simply present your boarding pass at the lucky draw counters located in both the arrival and departure restricted areas of the passenger terminal, to obtain a lucky draw ticket. Winners will have their prizes sent to their home.
There are 34 sponsors participating. The draw will be advertised in Airport Express stations, local print media, on radio and throughout the passenger terminal of the airport.
Prizes will include a Toyota Camry, a Panasonic 50" plasma television, a Diamond Trading Company ring and over 35 air tickets to destinations around the world.
Other prizes will include luxury goods like brand-name handbags, jewellery and watches, the latest hi-tech gadgetry, traveller's cheques and SkyMart cash coupons.
