Non-means-tested loan scheme views invited
*

Under Secretary for Education Kenneth Chen says the non-means-tested loan scheme review aims to improve the schemes' operation.

The study covers areas including the interest rate, repayment arrangements, quality of courses, as well as measures to address the default situation.

Speaking at an exchange session the Commission on Youth organised today, he said the review's first phase has commenced and the public can submit their views before the close of the consultation period on June 15.

"We will carefully consider the views received and draw up proposals for further consultation with the public in the next phase."

Commission Chairman Chan Chun-bun said the body will organise a series of exchange sessions and invite government representatives to attend.

A representative from the Environment Bureau will attend the next youth exchange session, he said.
