Equal opportunities fund scheme opens
*

The Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Bureau is inviting applications for the Equal Opportunities (Sexual Orientation) Funding Scheme 2010-11.

The annual scheme will provide fund support to worthwhile community projects which promote equal opportunities on the grounds of sexual orientation or gender identity, or seek to provide support services for sexual minorities.

More than $5.4 million has been allocated to non-governmental organisations in the past 12 years to fund such activities.

A briefing session will be held May 31 at Room 149, 1/F East Wing, Central Government Offices, 20 Lower Albert Road, Central, to brief interested parties on the scheme's scope and operation.

Click here to download application forms, which are also available at all Home Affairs Department public enquiry service centres. The application deadline is June 11. Call 2810 3205 for enquiries.
