The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a gastroenteritis outbreak affecting 18 children, aged three to five, and two staff at a Fanling kindergarten.

The seven males and 13 females came down with diarrhoea, vomiting, fever and abdominal pain from April 24.

One was discharged after hospitalisation. All are stable.

One child tested positive for rotavirus.
