Dr Joseph Lui appointed cluster chief

Dr Joseph Lui
New chief: Dr Joseph Lui will become the new Cluster Chief Executive of Kowloon East Cluster on May 17.

Dr Joseph Lui has been appointed as the Cluster Chief Executive of Kowloon East Cluster and Hospital Chief Executive of United Christian Hospital, effective from May 17.

 

Dr Lui is a specialist in anaesthesiology and has been the Chief of Service of the Department of Anaesthesiology & Operation Theatre in Caritas Medical Centre since 1996.

 

In 2006, he was given the additional responsibility of overseeing the Anaesthesiology & Operation Theatre services in Princess Margaret Hospital, Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital and Yan Chai Hospital

 

Dr Lui has been the Kowloon West Cluster Co-ordinator of Quality & Safety since 2002 and the Deputy Hospital Chief Executive of Princess Margaret Hospital since 2008.

 

"We are delighted to interview many good candidates who demonstrated passion for public healthcare services," Hospital Authority Chief Executive Shane Solomon said today.

 

The selection board recommended the appointment of Dr Lui after careful deliveration, and the authority's board approved the appointment yesterday, Mr Solomon added.
