Ovitrap index on the rise
*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

March's ovitrap index rose to 1.5% from February's 0.2%, the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department announced today.

Positive indices, ranging from 1.7% to 9.1%, were recorded in 19 areas, with the highest in Kwun Tong Central. The index for port areas remained at 0.1%.

The department urges people to boost anti-mosquito measures as the humid and warm weather is conducive to mosquito breeding.

Dengue cases are also prevalent in neighbouring places.
