The Social Welfare Department and fashion brand Quiksilver will launch the Let Them Shine Charity T-shirt Collection tomorrow, selling designs by the disabled for charity.

Support the Employment of People with Disabilities Limited, managed by the department's Marketing Consultancy Office (Rehabilitation), and Quiksilver will hold a launching ceremony at Citywalk, Tsuen Wan, at 3pm.

The office organised the Let Them Shine T-shirt design competition last year, receiving about 200 entries demonstrating the disabled's design skill and creative talent. Fifteen winning designs were selected after assessing their theme, creativity and overall image.

Quiksilver has produced three winning designs for sale with proceeds donated to the winning non-governmental organisations, including the Fu Hong Society, the Federation of Handicapped Youth and SAHK for promoting the disabled's work abilities.

For any purchase of the T-shirt collection at Quiksilver outlets customers can get a free Let Them Shine CD by pop singer GiGi Leung and enjoy a special price for a Let Them Shine T-shirt she designed. Both the CD and special price offer are given on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event will promote work opportunities for the disabled by enhancing public understanding of their perseverance and creativity. Click here for details.
