Boy ill with E.Coli infection
*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed the year's second E.Coli O157:H7 infection involving a two-year-old Kowloon City boy.

He developed abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhoea on December 19 and was admitted to hospital the same day. He was discharged the next day and is now stable.

He had no travel history and his family members had no symptoms of intestinal infection.

Hong Kong recorded two E.Coli O157:H7 infections last year.
