Stage attraction: The Hong Kong Dance Federation will perform at Wong Tai Sin Square on November 29.

A free arts day and sports carnival in support of the 2009 East Asian Games will be held from noon to 5.30pm on November 29 at the new Wong Tai Sin Square, the adjacent Wong Tai Sin Temple Court and outside Lung Cheung Mall.

The Hong Kong Dance Federation will kick off the show with a 90-minute performance of Chinese, Korean and Mongolian folk dances. Other performances include a choir, African drumming, Latin dance, drama, a marching band and acrobatics.

At the temple court there will also be wushu, taekwondo, cycling, gymnastics and lion dance performances, and workshops on handicrafts and face-drawing outside Lung Cheung Mall.
