EAG opening ceremony tickets sell out
*

Tickets for the Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games opening ceremony have sold out, bringing the number of full-house games events to 13.

The last competition days of all sports have also sold out, except for soccer and rugby.

Opening ceremony ticket holders should arrive early for a pre-show that starts 6.30pm. Those without tickets can watch the fireworks display on Victoria Harbour.

Giant video screens will be installed on the promenades of Tsim Sha Tsui, West Kowloon, Central and Wan Chai to broadcast the ceremony's boat parade and stage performances.

Due to the final submission of entries by national Olympic committees, the hockey competition schedule has been changed and two additional preliminaries will be held at King's Park Hockey Ground on December 5 and 11.

Tickets are now available for $50 by calling 3128 828 or visiting the 24 Hong Kong Ticketing outlets and Tom Lee Music Stores. Click here for online bookings.
