The highlight of the three carnivals will be Chinese arts performances by the Yunnan Wenshan Zhuang & Miao Autonomous Prefecture National Song & Dance Ensemble, and Hebei Acrobatics Group.

A lantern exhibition featuring the East Asian Games mascots and the nine participating countries and regions will run until November 1 at the Cultural Centre Piazza.

The exhibition runs until October 4 on the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade and features an enchanting garden with lanterns of glittering flowers.

An exhibition featuring the winning designs and all entries of the 2009 Mid-Autumn Lantern Design Competition will be held at City Hall until October 3.
