Swine flu closes school

Department of Health

Sha Tin Junior School will suspend classes for seven days due to a human swine flu outbreak involving 70 students aged five to 10.

 

The 37 boys and 33 girls have developed influenza-like symptoms since August 26. One required hospitalisation. All are stable. Four tested positive to human swine flu.

 

As at 2.30pm today there were 370 newly confirmed human swine flu cases involving 192 males and 178 females aged six months to 76 years, bringing the tally to 13,318.
