Department of Health

Po Leung Kuk Celine Ho Yam Tong College in Wong Tai Sin will suspend classes for 14 days after a Form Two student - a 16-year-old boy - was confirmed to have been infected with human swine flu today.

The Department of Health confirmed 28 new cases in the 24 hours up to 2.30pm, bringing to 348 the total tally in Hong Kong.

The new cases involved 21 men and seven women, aged nine to 53.

Meanwhile, a Kwong Wah Hospital clerical staff has been confirmed to be infected with the virus. She developed symptoms on June 21 and attended the hospital's Accident & Emergency Department for treatment. She was given sick leave after treatment.

She had no travel history and is now stable. One of her family members was earlier confirmed as a human swine flu patient and admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for isolation.
