4 schools to advance summer break

Four secondary schools will start their summer break tomorrow to stop the possible spread of human swine flu after five cases were confirmed in them, the Department of Health says.

 

They included a Kiangsu-Chekiang College (Sha Tin) 14-year-old Form Three boy, a Wong Tai Sin Lee Kau Yan Memorial School 13-year-old Form Two girl, a Form Three boy aged 15 and a Form Four boy aged 16 of Diocesan Boys' School in Kowloon City, and a 12-year-old girl studying Grade Eight at German Swiss International School on the Peak.

 

They mostly had onset of flu symptoms on June 25 or 26. They are stable.

 

The department confirmed 66 human swine flu cases in the 24 hours to 2.30pm today, bringing Hong Kong's total tally to 695.

 

The new cases involve 33 men and 33 women aged 10 months to 62.
