Applications for 3,300 new standard niches at Kwai Chung Columbarium will open tomorrow until February 6.

Each standard niche is $3,000 and a memorial plaque is $295.

Application forms can be obtained from the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department's cemeteries and crematoria offices on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon. They are also available here.

Applicants can submit forms, with copies of the required documents, in person during office hours, or by mail or fax, to the cemeteries and crematoria offices.

A computer ballot will be conducted February 20 to decide selection priorities. Results will be posted at the cemeteries and crematoria offices and the department's website.

Leftover niches will be open for another round of applications from February 12.
