More minor district projects in the pipeline
*
Leisure & Cultural Services Department

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department will seek District Councils' approval for scores of minor works projects to upgrade local communities.

The department said today it will continue to consult the councils on implementing more minor works projects, adding it plans to conduct works on more than 30 new open spaces.

Up to October the councils had approved funding for the department to implement more than 300 minor works projects, such as leisure facilities.

To ensure the earliest completion of the projects the department will discuss with the works departments and contractors means to expedite works.
