German poultry imports suspended
*
Centre for Food Safety

The Centre for Food Safety has suspended the processing of applications for importing poultry and poultry products from Germany.

 

The decision comes after confirmation of a case of H5N1 avian influenza on a poultry farm in the country.

 

Hong Kong has imported about 1,400 tonnes of frozen poultry meat from Germany since April.
