Melamine found in more foods

*
Centre for Food Safety

Samples of Heinz DHA+AA Vegetable Formula Cereal 200g pack with an expiry date of April 26, 2010, and Silang House of Steamed Potato Wasabi Cracker 238g pack with an expiry date of September 3, 2009, have been found to contain excessive melamine.

The Centre for Food Safety today said the levels detected in the two samples were 1.6ppm and 18ppm. It has asked shops to stop selling the products and the importer has recalled them.

Test results for another 40 samples of baby food are pending.
