Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating five food poisoning cases involving 21 people who ate at a Yau Ma Tei restaurant. One has been hospitalised.

One case involved six men and three women aged 17 to 21. They came down with abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea after eating at the restaurant on July 11.

The four other groups of people comprised three men and nine women aged 17 to 30. They came down with similar symptoms after eating at the same restaurant July 11 to 14.

People should observe good personal, food and environmental hygiene to prevent food-borne diseases.
