Man critical with Legionnaires' disease
*
Centre for Health Protection

A 51-year-old man is fighting for his life after contracting Legionnaires' disease, the Centre for Health Protection says, adding it is the year's eighth case of the illness.

He came down with shortness of breath and a cough in late May. He was admitted to Kwong Wah Hospital May 31 and transferred to Wong Tai Sin Hospital June 13. He is now in Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment and is in critical condition.

He travelled to the Mainland before hospital admission.
