*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed the year's third Legionnaires' disease case involving an 85-year-old Hung Hom man.

He came down with a cough and shortness of breath on April 13. He was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital April 16 and discharged April 22.

He has no recent travel history and his contacts have no symptoms.

Hong Kong recorded 11 Legionnaires' cases last year, 16 in 2006 and 11 in 2005. Click here for prevention tips.
