Sports centres to close for Lunar New Year
*
Leisure & Cultural Services Department

Sports centres, fee-charging land-based facilities, swimming pools and water-sports centres will be closed during the Lunar New Year holidays from February 7 to 9, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department says.

Services at gazetted beaches will be suspended during the holidays. All stadiums and sports grounds will be closed unless advance bookings have been made.

Holiday camps will also be closed during the holidays and lodging will not be provided on February 6.

For public convenience, 29 sports centres, 14 turf pitches venues, 20 squash venues, 18 tennis venues, the Island East Sports Centre bowling greens and Tuen Mun Recreation & Sports Centre will re-open earlier on February 9. All parks and playgrounds will remain open during the holidays.

Leisure Link booking offices will be closed during the holidays, but some will resume service at those venues to be re-opened on February 9. Its online and telephone reservation services will remain normal during the holidays.

Recreation and sports venues' opening hours during the holidays have been uploaded here, and posted at all venues.
