Burials, cremations to be suspended Feb 7

Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

All services for handling the deceased will be suspended on Lunar New Year's Day, February 7, the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department says.

 

All cemeteries and crematoria offices will be closed.

 

Normal cremation, burial and coffin transportation services will resume on February 8.

 

During the Lunar New Year holiday, no bodies will be removed by the department from public mortuaries or hospitals. All permit offices and cremation booking offices will be closed.

 

Normal services will resume on February 11.
