Caution issued on 6 Australian baked foods

Centre for Food Safety

The Centre for Food Safety warns consumers to avoid six baked foods produced by Australian company Mrs Mac's due to possible contamination with small plastic pieces.

 

The company is conducting a voluntary recall of:

* all individually wrapped Mrs Mac's products, Bakewell and Bakewell Classic products and individually wrapped Mrs Mac's Good Eating products, with the use-by date for fresh products 19/12/07 to 26/12/07 and the best-before dates for frozen products 10/06/09 to 14/06/09 and 10/12/08 to 14/12/08; and,

* Red Embers Chicken Leek & Mushroom Pies (175g), Greek Souvlaki Pies (175g) and Premium Sausage Rolls (175g), with the best-before date 10/12/08 to 14/12/08.

 

The trade has been warned to stop selling these products.
