Man ill with Dengue fever
*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed an imported Dengue fever case involving a 57-year-old man living in North Point, brining this year's total number of Dengue fever cases to 54, all imported.

The man developed fever and chills on October 29 and was admitted to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital on November 4. He is now in stable condition.

The man had travelled to Indonesia between September 4 and November 2. His family members did not have any Dengue fever symptoms.

Hong Kong saw 31 Dengue fever cases last year, all imported. Click here for prevention tips. The latest information on Dengue fever in other places can be found here.
