A total of 2,044 stalls will be auctioned from October 8 for the Lunar New Year Fairs, the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department says.

The fairs will be held at 14 locations February 1 to 7 with 1,185 wet goods stalls, 843 dry goods stalls and 16 fast-food stalls up for rent. The opening prices range from $460 to $7,840 for wet goods stalls, $540 to $8,760 for dry goods, and $4,680 to $191,820 for fast food.

Hong Kong Island and Kowloon will have 502 wet goods stalls, 536 for dry goods and 11 for fast food at the five fairs at Victoria Park, Fa Hui Park, Cheung Sha Wan Playground, Morse Park and Kwun Tong Recreation Ground.

The New Territories will have 683 wet goods stalls, 307 for dry goods and five for fast food at nine fairs at Sha Tsui Road Playground, Kwai Chung Sports Ground, the Tuem Mun Tin Hau Temple, Tung Tau Industrial Area Playground, Shek Wu Hui Playground, Tai Po Tin Hau Temple Fung Shui Square, Yuen Wo Playground, Man Yee Playground and Po Hong Park.

Auctions for Hong Kong and Kowloon stalls will be held at Queen Elizabeth Stadium October 8 and 9, and 15 to 18.
