*
Centre for Food Safety

A Lau Fau Shan fish stall owner has been issued a warning by the Centre for Food Safety after a turbot sample was found to contain trace amounts of nitrofurans and chloramphenicol.

The level of nitrofurans and chloramphenicol detected was 0.0042ppm and 0.0005ppm. Based on the levels detected, normal consumption will not pose adverse health effects.

The stall owner has been ordered to stop selling turbots and may be prosecuted.
