The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed two imported Dengue fever cases involving a 70-year-old Kwai Chung man and a 46-year-old Wong Tai Sin woman, bringing the year's total to 41.

The man visited Thailand June 1 to September 7, and came down with fever, headache, arthralgia and a rash on September 7. He was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital and his condition is stable. His two family members have no symptoms.

The woman traveled to Cambodia August 10 and 17, and got a fever, vomiting and a rash on August 21. She was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital on August 28 and discharged on September 3. Her 13-year-old son was also confirmed to have Dengue fever and has recovered.

There were 31 Dengue fever cases last year. For prevention tips click here.
