Food poisonings close Causeway Bay restaurant
*
Centre for Health Protection

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department has shut down a restaurant on Tang Lung Street, Causeway Bay, following the food poisoning of five diners.

It will close for thorough cleansing and disinfection, and will not reopen until the health hazard has been removed.

The five men, aged 27 to 33, came down with abdominal pain, diarrhoea and vomiting after eating at the restaurant on August 16. Two went to Queen Mary Hospital's Accident & Emergency Department and two consulted private doctors. No hospitalisation was required.

Tips on preventing food poisoning are available here.
