Nurse training applications open

*
Social Welfare Department

To meet demand, the Social Welfare Department is inviting applications for admission to a two-year training programme for enrolled nurses in the general and psychiatric streams, which starts December 3.

The training will be conducted in Hospital Authority nursing schools, with clinical placement arranged in public hospitals and welfare institutions. It provides 80 places for general stream nurses and 30 for psychiatric stream nurses.

The department will fully subsidise the $50,000 tuition fee for each trainee, who must in return sign an undertaking to work in the welfare sector for no less than two years of consecutive service.

Applications close May 22. For details click here or call 2110 1495.
