Public art scheme applications open

*
Leisure & Cultural Services Department

Original artwork proposals are being invited for the 2006 Public Art Scheme to bring artistic elements into the public environment.

Organised by the Art Promotion Office, the scheme invites site-specific artwork proposals for public spaces in the Heritage Discovery Centre, Ko Shan Road Park and Po Hong Park.

The works will be judged by their compatibility with the target environment, artistic merit, creativity, practicability, safety and production cost.

The winner will get a $5,000 prize while each of the three short-listed contestants will receive $2,000. Selected artwork proposals will be featured in an exhibition and may be formally commissioned for production.

Click here to download application forms, or call 3101 2738 for more information.
