Shop shut: Food & Environmental Hygiene officers seize raw and cooked food from an unlicensed premises.

Food & Environmental Hygiene officers have arrested a woman for operating an unlicensed food factory in Yuen Long, seizing 55kgs of raw and cooked food.

 

Officers conducted an operation against illegal food business activities last night and found six mobile carts selling a variety of cooked food on Long Ping Road.

 

Some 55kgs of raw and cooked food, including fish balls, glutinous rice, fried rice and noodles, and other items were seized.

 

The woman has been charged with operating an unlicensed food factory.

 

Anyone with information on unlicensed food businesses should call the department's hotline on 2868 0000.
