Three patients of a ward in Caritas Medical Centre's Wai Shun Block have tested positive for Norovirus, the Hospital Authority says. Three staff of the same ward are also ill with diarrhoea and are on sick leave while their test results are pending.

The patients are being treated in isolation rooms and are in stable condition. Admission to the ward has been suspended. Infection control measures have been stepped up.

The hospital has reported the cases to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection.
