Three Sha Tau Kok residents have tested negative for H5N1, the Centre for Health Protection says.
The 42-year-old man, his 78-year-old mother and another relative were isolated after a dead chicken the man bought from Mainland tested positive for H5N1 yesterday.
Nose and throat swabs were taken from them to check for the virus, and tested negative.
The centre said it will closely monitor developments and remains on high alert.
