*
Leisure & Cultural Services Department

Book collection for the Book Donation & Sale Campaign 2006 is now on. People can donate books to all public libraries, except mobile ones, until February 22, while the HK Central Library will accept books until February 26.

The campaign, which aims to promote reading, book sharing and help the needy, is jointly presented by the HK Public Libraries of the Leisure & Cultural Services Department, Home Affairs Department and 18 District Councils, Housing Authority, Hongkong Post, the Community Chest and the Agency for Volunteer Service.

Adults' and children's books on general subjects are welcome except textbooks for primary and secondary schools, exercise books, magazines and audio-visual materials.

Books collected will be put on sale for charity on February 25 and 26 from 10am to 6pm at:

* HK Central Library Exhibition Gallery, Causeway Bay;

* Kai Tak East Sports Centre, San Po Kong; and

* Yuen Wo Road Sports Centre, Sha Tin.

All books are on sale at $5 each and there is a limit of 30 books per person. All proceeds go to the Community Chest.

For enquiries, call 2921 0221.
