Dengue fever case confirmed
*

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed the first imported case of Dengue fever this year.

The patient is a 45-year-old man who developed fever, headache, muscle and joint pain on December 22. He is receiving treatment in Princess Margaret Hospital and in stable condition. He had travelled to the Mainland and Indonesia from December 8 to 22. His home contacts did not have any symptoms.

The centre urges people to guard against the disease and prevent mosquito breeding.
