Total recall: Consumers are advised to stop taking Chi Chun Tang Chu Pai Bo Ying Dan as its microbial content exceeds permitted limits.

Consumers are advised to stop taking a proprietary Chinese medicine called Chi Chun Tang Chu Pai Bo Ying Dan as its microbial content was found to have exceeded the maximum permitted limit by the Macau health authority.

 

The Department of Health said the production batch number of the affected product is 40001.

 

Laboratory tests on the medicine and other related products of the same manufacturer, Hong Kong Chi Chung Tang Herbal Factory, are underway. Results are expected next week.
