The Department of Health warns users of implantable cardiac pacemakers made by the Guidant Corporation that the devices may be faulty.
The manufacturer has contacted the department warning their INSIGNIA and NEXUS pacemakers may have problems, however there have been no reported deaths so far.
The 115 Hong Kong patients using the devices will be contacted and advised by their doctors. The department has also alerted the Hospital Authority, private hospitals and medical associations.
