Hong Kong and Beijing health officials will strengthen communication and co-operation.

 

Thirteen health professionals from Beijing, led by Municipal Health Bureau Director Jin Dapeng, completed a two-day exchange programme in Hong Kong today.

 

During their visit to the Department of Health they met Director of Health Dr Lam Ping-yan and Centre for Health Protection Controller Dr Leung Pak-yin.

 

They discussed public health management, prevention and treatment of disease, and surveillance and control of communicable disease. They also discussed strengthening collaboration and communication.

 

The team met representatives of the Health, Welfare & Food Bureau and Hospital Authority to learn about Hong Kong's health system, and visited the Fire Services Department, the Auxiliary Medical Services, St John Ambulance and Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
