Poultry stall may face licence cancellation
*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department disposed of 20 kilograms of poultry meat from a fresh provision shop in Cheung Fat Estate, Tsing Yi, yesterday and is considering canceling its licence after it was found selling poultry meat on a rest day.

According to the tenancy and licensing conditions of live poultry outlets, no live poultry shall be kept or stored at the premises on a rest day. Stalls must also suspend business to carry out thorough cleaning and disinfection on that day.

The department reminded live poultry retail outlet operators to observe rest day conditions or risk having their tenancies/licences terminated or cancelled.
