About 55% to 67% of the candidates sitting for the pharmacists registration examination held last December got a pass mark in the subjects they took, the Pharmacy & Poisons Board of Hong Kong says.
The board said there were 29, 33 and 29 candidates sitting for the examinations in "Pharmacy Legislation in Hong Kong", "Pharmacy Practice" and "Pharmacology" with corresponding passing rates of 55.2%, 67% and 62.1%.
Apart from meeting other requirements prescribed by the board, any pharmacy graduate outside Hong Kong intending to be registered as a pharmacist in Hong Kong is required to pass the three tests.
The Board conducts its registration examination twice a year, normally in June and December.
